The Bancroft Centre in Hitchin provides a relaxed, informal atmosphere for young people aged 13 to 19. It offers recreational and social opportunities, access to information on a wide range of issues and activities on topics relevant to young people
If you are aged 13-19 come along to the Bancroft Centre where you'll find a relaxed, informal atmosphere and plenty of activities going on as well as access to information on a wide range of issues.
There is Internet access and in the main hall upstairs we offer a variety of activities including Sky TV (on a giant screen), pool, air hockey, table tennis and arts and crafts. The music room has DJ decks, guitars, drums and keyboards.
The centre is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7.00pm to 9.45pm.
* Thursdays 1.30pm-4.00pm - Youth Connexions Personal Advisers are available to offer careers advice and guidance.
* Fridays 5pm-7pm - Chill Out Night (October to March).
* Mondays 6.30pm-9.30pm - ZAP for Asian young people.
Facilities for people with disabilities are limited.
