At the Bowes Lyon Centre we have loads of things for you to do...

* Sports - basketball, football, bmx bikes, skateboarding, inline skating, badminton etc
* Arts - painting, pastels, modelling etc
* Social activities - music, games, discussions etc

Other things you can do... table tennis, bowling, jewellery making, dance, DJ workshops, cooking, trampolining, video making and loads more!!

Here's the schedule of regular activities that happen every week at the Bowes Lyon Centre:

Mondays
11am-2pm WeR2B
Are you a parent to be or do you have a baby under 3 months old? Are you bored or do do you need somewhere to go? This group is for you! Come and talk about anything: healthy eating, relationships, budgeting, education - or just have a coffee. Only £1 for lunch!

Tuesdays
At the new time of 6.45pm-9.15pm MEGAMIX is for young people with disabilities or requiring other extra support. An opportunity for you to socialise and learn new skills including cooking, arts & crafts, sports, plus other activities and information to help you on your journey towards independence. The session now has a café open 7.15-8.15pm where you can buy hot drinks and food.

Wednesdays
6.30-9.30pm OPEN SESSION with provision for young carers
Get involved in activities such as photography, multisports and cooking. Wednesday nights are also when young carers can come along to relax and chat to each other as well as youth workers about any issues they may be dealing with. You can make new friends, discuss issues that concern you and get support and advice.

Thursdays
6.30-9.15pm OPEN SESSION with Duke of Edinburgh and Acting Up
Get involved in activities including street dance classes, music sessions, Acting Up and Duke of Edinburgh:

* ACTING UP is a drama and performance group where all acting is optional as you can also get involved in the behind the scenes elements, including developing stage lighting, set and prop making, and script writing.

* Starting in January 2012 DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD – take part in the DofE award! You will develop skills for work and life, at bronze, silver or gold level. Packed with great fun activities, it provides you with achievements for your CV and is recognised by employers and universities.

Fridays
7-11pm LIVE MUSIC
* Second Friday of the Month - OUTLOUD Urban Gig with MCs, DJs and street dance performances
* Last Friday of every month - After Dark Rock Music Gig


All the activities at the Bowes Lyon Centre are suitable for young people aged 13-19 years, up to 25 years if you have a learning difficulty or disability. We actively encourage the integration of young people from all backgrounds and abilities.

Access/entrance fee for all sessions 50p.

Disabled access to all areas.
