We would like to invite you to come along and find out about this exciting and new venture. By taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award you will develop skills for life and work. There's a wide range of opportunities in each section whatever your interests. The award is packed with great fun activities; it will provide you with achievements for your CV and is recognised by employers and universities.

There are four sections to the Duke of Edinburgh Award that can help you develop new skills, confidence and abilities. You must complete the first three for at least three months, and one section for six months. The four sections are:

* Physical
Take part in a new sport or develop an existing one. It could be football, badminton, horse riding, yoga or street dance - it's your choice!

* Skill
Maybe you would like to learn filmaking, photography, develop your skills in snooker, playing the drums - there's lots you can do!

* Volunteering
You get the chance to help out an organisation in your community and gain some work experience at the same time.

* Expedition
This two-day trip is your chance to get out in the wilderness, camp overnight and you may choose to canoe, walk or cycle your way from point A to B.

We will be with you every step of the way to help you think through the sections and what you are interested in.

The Bowes Lyon Centre for Young People is fully wheelchair accessible.
