Are you aged 13-19 and into urban music? NuTunes is an urban music project in Stevenage offering young people an opportunity to come together in a relaxed environment to make and create urban music. Live performance opportunities...all welcome :o) First visit FREE!

Come along and have a go at producing your own music with our computer music software. Maybe you prefer to DJ on the decks? MC...spit some bars? Sing or write your own song? NuTunes is about creating new tunes!

You will get support from Youth Connexions staff and volunteers and meet musically talented young volunteers who are keen to share their talents, knowledge and skills with you. There are also some workshops with professional music tutors and the Hertfordshire Music Service - see the PDF below for dates of the next three of these workshops.

PLEASE NOTE: the venue for this project has changed. Due to building work at Timebridge Youth Centre, this project is now being run from the Bowes Lyon Centre for Young People until further notice.

There are also other opportunities for young people who like urban music but may not want to produce their own - you could get involved in event planning/organising, leaflet or poster designing and artist booking plus more! Maybe you have an interest in urban dance?

There are also opportunities to perform live and get a music skills accreditation.

On the 2nd Friday of every month we are now holding Nutunes OUTLOUD live music events at the Bowes Lyon Centre in Stevenage where NuTunes Urban Music Project members and other local young urban artists can showcase their talents. Click on the first 'Useful Link' below to see more details about these NuTunes OUTLOUD events. These live events will be recorded and streamed onto local youth radio YOR Radio - see second 'Useful Link' below for more details of this.

Come along - we are open to your suggestions. This is a new project and YOU get to decide and plan future sessions.

This is YOUR project. Here is your chance to be involved in something musically exciting!
