Watford Fire Cadets
Cadet group for 12-18 year olds giving them the opportunity to engage in similar training exercise as the operational crews although on a smaller scale.i.e ladders, hose, breathing apparatus, community fire safety work, theory and technical input.
They also get involved in local community safety initiatives, attend Fire Service cadet camps and pump competitions, as well as broadening their horizons with other activities such as climbing, camping, go-karting and water sports. Becoming a Fire Service cadet is a great way for young people to develop their personal qualities, including building their self confidence and developing teamwork skills. The experience gained as a cadet also helps support applications to join the Fire Service.
