The Welwyn Hatfield Youth Council is a body of young people that meets monthly to discuss, debate and action any issues affecting the youth of Welwyn Hatfield. The youth council is somewhere that young people can raise issues and get their views heard by the people that can make a difference. It is also an organisation for change and to promote the good work that young people are doing in the borough. Representatives from each of the schools, the college and the youth community groups bring issues to the agenda.
The youth council also works on individual youth projects that help to achieve the youth council objectives. Some project achievements include:
* Free use of football pitches in WGC and Hatfield
* Youth Diversionary Graffitti Walls in Hatfield
* Summer Holiday Street Dance Project
* Play Rangers
* Moonlight Football
* Under 18s discos
* Gigs for Young People at the Forum Hertfordshire
* Wuzzup website...
Wuzzup is a website designed, created and updated by teenagers from across the Welwyn and Hatfield. It's an interactive multimedia site, giving you the latest information on what there is to do locally, regionally and nationally. Whether it’s a film, a new game, a local gig or the line up for one of the summers big festivals….Wuzzup is the place for it all!!
